Don't think that's really fair - seems a reasonable article examining the different sub-plots that made Saturday's fixture a big game. No one watching or writing about Town genuinely sees it as a rivalry in the traditional sense.
Same for the Portsmouth article in the OP - just trying to squeeze some extra mileage out of the post-match comments. |  |

Spoken to a couple who went and they were baffled.

Just filling column inches, given they have little else to report from the match.
They do make a song and dance about how well they are supported - but when the results/form dip they are like any other club and the attendance figures drop.
