Would it make any difference? We’re the second best team, and I’m not sure Foden has enough to make a difference on his own. Some posters were criticising the BBC commentators for bigging up Brazil yesterday, but they look infinitely better than this shoite.

Perhaps not. But it seems to strange to not try and instead leave players out on the pitch who just aren’t in the game at all.

Yeah true. I don’t know enough about them as I rarely watch PL football, but Mount did look pants tonight. But then most did. I’m not sure what Saka did to deserve staying on either - like an even more headless Danny Haynes.

Mount usually knits the midfield and attackers together nicely, so it showed how reliant we are on him when he has an absolute shocker.

Saka's ball control is on a par with Sterling on tonights showing. Still, a point's a point. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I mean, that sounds lovely but I'm not sure even the greatest football connoisseurs will believe it.

Who else did we have on the bench, Maddison? There's a fairly strong argument for the whole front 5 being replaced today

What do you expect from a post-match interview? They’re hardly going to be extremely candid or even be critical of their teammates performances.
Foden FFS Southgate! (n/t) on 22:09 - Nov 25 with 1053 views | Chrisd | Foden is our most creative player and yet he can’t get in the England side - crazy! I thought the 3 behind Kane were all really poor tonight and our passing generally was so slow and laboured. Just a pity Maddison is injured otherwise I’d start Grealish and Foden in the wider roles with Maddison centrally behind Kane against Wales.

For what? 10 minutes in an already decided game? And you discard him on that basis...get a grip
