It’s probably more lazy than cheeky. There’s a service and it’s running as normal. Nobody’s probably had the time or thought to disrupt the system (should have got Banksy on the case!) and point people to the Beeb instead. That could have been a bit of detail that had earned them some credit, but probably not a lot and it not that important. Most people would know it’s on the Beeb I’d have thought. |  |

But it was because I'd fallen asleep in The Netherlands that I found I couldn't get the RS comm online - just kept getting audio message that comm wasn't available "for contractual reasons".

It may not strictly be legitimate but a Brit abroad listening to football commentary isn't, so far as I am aware, depriving anyone of any revenues, given there won't be a local football commentary on the game.
