‘Let’s stand arms crossed’ on 08:59 - Feb 15 with 2338 views | Bobbychase | I understand the frustration/nerves but I was also pretty shocked at the constant barrage of negativity last night. It was there throughout, not just when it was clear the game was drifting to a draw. Worries me for the "easy" home games coming up - which we have to win to make sure we don't fall out of the top six together. It transmits to the players and then makes them less likely to take on the risky ball which might create a chance.

I don't see how people can be criticised for feeling negative. Negativity has pervaded this club for the best part of two decades. Hell, even our 14/15 playoff adventure was put to bed by our bitter rivals. You can't blame people for feeling cynical each time the club gives us a chink of light and hope and takes it away from us.

Agree on Saturdays game. Team needed the noise when they went 2-0 down but it was dead. Any support can give it large when winning.

But what more could Morsy or any of them want? Loads turn up every week away and by and large informed posters say yes there are a hundred or so knobs but the rest are positive.

I was surprised how fragile a support we were. Started brightly enough with a bit of noise, but considering it was a full end (and a half), the mood shifted pretty quickly didn’t it? Mostly to apathy and then that mumbling you get at friendlies when people start talking as they’ve given up being involved in the game. A few half hearted boos at half time and then random people letting frustrations boil over in the 2nd half. There were a few round us having a bit of a go at them.

I think people - and it was a small group last night - are not being criticised for being negative but ARE being criticised for shouting (which I heard personally) "f**k off Morsy, you f**king useless c**t" and then, when he reacts, other people say "you wouldn't get Matt Holland or Luke Chambers doing that". I see Statman is out and about on Twitter making hay this morning. Matt Holland is a current ITFC ambassador. Shall we ask him what he thinks about fans hanging around at the front of the stand to call the current captain a c**t to his face?

‘Let’s stand arms crossed’ on 10:21 - Feb 15 with 1818 views | Wickets | It is true of course that singing and supporting your team is going to be a big help but the negativity is understandable as we have the same problem that started right at the start of the season , we just cannot break stubborn defensive units down and until we find a way to do so in this league we will sit .

We've been a bit 'sing when you're winning' for several years now. Maybe people have been ground down by having nothing to shout about but it's noticeable how it only gets loud when we're on top and/or ahead but if not it's just quiet with moans and groans at every pass that doesn't come off etc.

And was captain when the hold "fingers in ears" goal celebration was used pretty widely among Town players. When we did score goals under Lambert. Which tended not to happen very much towards the end. Conceded plenty though. Still, fist pumps etc.

Oh so it's the fan's fault, obviously, the fans pick the team are responsible for tactics and sign the players, we have turned up in numbers both home and away, and generally, the support has been good, it's time the management and team kept their side of the bargain!

Of course it's not the fans "fault", nor is the reaction beyond comprehension, given everything which has happened at the club over the last 20 years, with frequent disappointments and missed chances. However, hostility between fans and team is not going to help the situation. Plus some of the things being said last night were way over the top in terms of negativity. We weren't on the back foot most of the time, a lot of the game was played in the opposition third of the pitch, Town overall looked the more likely to win - we just couldn't manufacture decent chances, let alone finish. Yet people were talking as if were were being dominated and on the brink of relegation.
