Some of them questions 07:51 - Apr 6 with 1949 viewstextbackup

Do people not read the multiple stories the club/TWTD put out?
Huge % of questions asked are either so obvious the answer is slapping them in the face, or have already been communicated out in some way.

On the flip side some good ones put to KM regarding to training etc

Why if you are going to watch a football match do people need ITFC to provide Wi-Fi? I’m genuinely a bit puzzled as one is contactable and visa versa on 4g and text.

Being an old git I should rail against this, however, my current phone does not work well in the stadium.

My previous phone, supplied by Chinese Intelligence (Huawei) always worked perfectly wherever I went; be that the mountains of Colombia or PR.

Yeah that's what I do I can usually get enough data for basic connections. There just aren't enough mobile phone masts in the area to cope with 28k+ people all trying to connect their phones at the same time. Think Ashton has said before that the cost of wifi would be totally disproportionate.

They could bring back the A-Z letters with the scores underneath like the black and white days. Sorted!

The TVs show the full time/half time scores.

Just arrange to meet your mates at a set place and time, like the pre mobile days or get a 4g phone.

Nope, still not seeing the need. Actually, there’s nothing more irritating than people p£ssing about with a phone at a football match while the game is on or if you are with them in the boozer. I find it rude.

I don’t want my phone to work in the ground. I often make sure it’s on silent so that if she texts me I’m not bothered by it.

I liked that the session got off to a positive start with the 'when are we getting a PA system, we can't hear a thing' question.

My favourite bit though was the awkwardness when Foz was keen to say the ST cap would mean plenty of tickets available for on the day purchases as MA had just done his best to encourage anyone to get in early and snap up a ST.

Does that really work? I have tried it a couple of times and it made no difference. Whose service do you use?

That was funny!

Foz was put firmly in his place by Ashton.

Mine doesn't work at all in the stadium - but I get a signal in the Blackwall tunnel - as a passenger of course

I specifically said half and full time.

I'm not like ******** who is continuously on his phone throughout the game, surprised he sees a dam thing.

Hybrid working. Ashton has dropped the ball big time.

I dont expect the club to provide free Wi-Fi but asking for my phone to work in and around the stadium doesn’t seem such a big ask. I find network speeds are massively reduced around PR, almost to no reception at times.

I expect the answer to that lays somewhere between club and network provider.

Trust me, hybrid working is bad for you. A couple of hours focussing on the football will do you good!

At work, did I have my phone on? Only if it had to be in connection with that particular meeting. The rest of the time, the work and personal phones were on silent and not looked at until after. Nobody died.

A lot of people in football grounds do want to be on their phones. Some, like the bloke next to me for the NFL at Wembley last year watched a lot of it through his phone, when he wasn’t texting and sending pics. There he was, arm in the air. Dear oh dear. Just watch it on the tv!!

I confess I have a bit of a ‘thing’ about not being chained to a phone. Years ago if I went abroad with mates or anywhere not with the misses, or before that parents, it’d be cheerio when I left the house, see you in 2 weeks. Send you a postcard. Focus 100% on being away having fun.

Now, I feel obliged to send a daily text to prove I’m still alive. I’d prefer ‘I’ll contact if there’s a problem’, but there’s more chance of me making Pope than that happening.

Tbf, there was the one exception when my mum died when I was in America. The phone was pretty vital then, especially given how appalling US landlines/hotel phones are.

Back to the point: I’d mandate phones on silent in grounds. If there’s no Wi-Fi, never mind. It’s just a couple of hours. Old Skool!

Plus the several thousand people in the same location with their phones all trying to connect to the same network.

It’s 100% on the network provider, why should the club give a toss? We are there to watch the game
