All upset about poor refereeing decisions.

It was a comically bad decision, although apparently there was an incident a few minutes before where Oxford should have been given a penalty but weren’t. Can’t find a clip of that one though.

Yep, Oxford should have had a pen a few minutes earlier. Sheff Wednesday really don't impress me whenever I have seen them this season

I do feel a tinge of sympathy, on a bad run where you just don't get any luck.

We've been there this season.

The standard of refereeing is awful in this league although our ref today was pretty good.

They're saying they (Weds) should have had one sent off as well, I think. If the mob on Owlstalk represent the crowd in the Stadium, they're done for at home on Monday with that sort of negativity.

Not sure it was a bad decision. I have only seen one replay of it, but the defender deliberately lifts his leg as the Oxford player is going over him.

At the end of the day, they were very lucky to get away with an offside goal against us which made a 3 point swing so could still do with something costing them another point.

You’d think they’d be more concerned about why their team only had 40% possession and had less shots than the team battling relegation.

Unless that was all the refs fault too?

Guessing they didn't mention how they managed to unjustifiably grift a point & cheat us out of two, following their disgraceful fans raining coins etc. down on the pitch when they were at home to us ...

I had it in one of my screens as it was on ESPN+

When Town were home and dry I was watching a fair bit of Wednesday and Oxford had a number of good chances. They were very good value for their point and should have had a pen 5 mins before. Although the one that was given was comically bad.

I'm not convinced it was a comically bad decision.

There was a similar one at the world cup, where the striker was taken out by an unwitting goalkeeper. They had a ref in afterwards to explain why it was technically correct. Effectively the defending player is obliged to make sure they don't make contact, or some such.

I think this decision is technically correct.

The pen that was given looked harsh, tbf..
Havent seen the one that wasn't given.
Moore has painted himself into a corner with swapping his keeper. Stockdale has palmed out shots. In each of the 3 games he's been back. All of which have led to goals conceded...Not the best time of the season to start playing about with keepers..They look like they are going to concede with every ball into their box..

How do you manage to always look for a negative, even when there's really not one for you to grasp onto? They've just drawn with Oxford lost to Forest Green, scraped a draw with Cheltenham. We're on an incredible run but you're worried about a potential baseless scenario.

The reason all of us follow football is because that it's not predictable. The last few weeks shows how relatively quickly things can change.

1 min 15 on here you can clearly see the defender lift his leg to ensure the player can't get past. The fact he tries to hurdle the body as he is getting up makes it look less like a deliberate foul but the defender is definitely deliberately trying to stop him.

The highlights show a similar incident of player sprawling on the ground as a block before this - may have helped with the decision
But after listening to Derby post match I am getting past blame the ref. Some fans only seem to look at the poor descions that cost them and conveniently ignore the ones that go their way

Not really, no. They’ve got 3 tough away games and still have to play Derby. Sheffield Wednesday haven’t won any of their last 6 games, they’re really not all that.

Plymouth have 3 tough games coming up themselves now too including a local derby and a long trip to Shrewsbury. Plus Lincoln at home who have picked up some impressive away results.

Both of those sides will drop points over the next couple of weeks IMO.
