A new contract would be a good idea, but the reality is that he wants to be here or he doesn’t. I’ve seen nothing to indicate that he isn’t happy and engaged with what the club is trying to do so it’s just paper nonsense as far as I’m concerned.
If he does want to move on, so be it. It’d be very sad, especially for us, but nobody is irreplaceable. One of the key things about the ownership putting structure into the club is that in a sense when somebody goes, they are replaceable and the club carries on hopefully growing.
For me it’s just slow news time. What is in it for him with the clubs mentioned is beyond me. KM and Ipswich have made a bit of news this season so it’s no surprise he gets mentioned. |  | | |
