Not the first time he's fronted for borderline sociopathic right wingers, to be fair.

Has there ever been such a bizarre time in politics? on 15:52 - Jun 11 with 1279 views | bluelagos | Amateurs. So when I worked in Liberia just after the first elections after the civil war, one of the senators newly elected was a Prince Johnson. His history was shall we say a little colourful. During the civil war there had been a "race" to Monrovia by two rival armies, to dethrown the President and take the spoils of war. Charles Taylor led one faction and Prince Johnson another. Johnson got their first and duly killed President Doe and was the main man. (Until Charles Tay,or's arny turned up and he fled) To establish himself and impose his rule, through fear, he duly made a video of him mutilating the President, cutting off his ear and later his balls which he fed to him whilst still alive. The video was copied and distributed to ensure the average Monrovian was now fully aware that Prince Johnson was in charge, Doe was dead and that Johson wasn't a man to be messed with. After he fled Monrovia he ran to Nigeria where he found god. He returned on the peace following Taylor's arrest and subsequently stood for and won the senate position in Nimba county. Years later his party was 3rd and he was the power broker in a subsequent election, I think his support led to the footballer George Weah becoming President. So as fcked as our politics is, until we have elected a man who for posterity videoed himself mutilating the sitting president, I'd suggest our loons are mere amateurs.
