Losing yesterday wasn’t too big a deal…. 08:50 - Nov 26 with 2086 views | ITFC_Forever | …. As Leeds and Southampton both drew, so they only made one point up on us. The combination of results was better than us not losing (drawing) and the other two winning, as they’d have made two points up on us again. I know you can never take anything for granted, especially in this division, but ‘Wall and Cov are 18th and 20th, which on paper gives us a big opportunity to take six points from these two home games. If we do that, yesterday can be largely forgotten.

Losing yesterday wasn’t too big a deal…. on 08:53 - Nov 26 with 2035 views | Herbivore | Agreed. Not much value dwelling on yesterday. Individually and collectively we were off it, they executed their game plan very well. It happens, not too much damage done and we move on to two winnable home games this week. Refocus, raise our performance level to where we know it can be, aim for 6 points this week and see where that takes us.

Building a gap to 3rd has allowed us some unfavorable results during this more difficult run of fixtures. No need to hit the panic button yet!

No need to hit the panic button at all this season. We are doing just great.

Losing May not be a worry performance was we have not played well since Hull yes we have picked up points sometimes luckily si am sure McKenna and his team recognise this . Hopefully we will pick up maximum points next two games.

Exactly - learn from it and move on. It certainly outed a few bell-ends
Losing yesterday wasn’t too big a deal…. on 09:19 - Nov 26 with 1931 views | _clive_baker_ | Yeah it’s important to remember that not all games are born equal. WBA away was always going to be tough, not really the sort of game you earmark for any more than a point in all honesty. They’re a very very decent championship side, and to lose 1 point of ground on Leeds & Southampton on a weekend they faced Rotherham & Huddersfield respectively isn't the worst outcome in the world. Performance was poor though, never really got going did we? defensively we didn’t look good at all and were punished, wasteful in the final 3rd, didn’t lay a glove on them, barely tested their keeper at all. Plus it was blinking freezing. Chalk it down as a bad day at the office and hopefully see a reaction and 3 points against Millwall.

That's not true. We were completely dominant against Swansea after conceding, 3-2 flattered them! We're not going to control games like we did at the end of last season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Losing yesterday wasn’t too big a deal…. on 09:22 - Nov 26 with 1906 views | textbackup | My worry is, it’s not the first time we’ve been below par… a loss has been coming for a while. And carry on like that and we’ll find ourselves out of the top 2. Losing, whenever, against whoever, is a big deal

Show me a team that never plays below par. It happens. Losing games really isn’t the disaster some are making out it to be, we’re just not really used to it. We will lose games, we’ll likely lose plenty more, that’s football. We’ve been spoiled by a ridiculous start which has given us a nice cushion, but any thought that we’ve got a right to go away to sides like West Brom, Boro, Leeds, Southampton, Leicester etc and be anything other than 2nd favourites is delusional.
Losing yesterday wasn’t too big a deal…. on 09:55 - Nov 26 with 1820 views | OldFart71 | Two things. Firstly we need to cut out this conceeding early goals, it's getting a theme in our games. Secondly I have noticed how after an International break we seem off the pace. We have done well so far, I just hope the wheels aren't coming off the wagon jsut when we need to be at our best.

Sheffield United lost 11 last season. Every away game is a real slog and going to be made difficult for us. We shouldn't underestimate how well we've done to win at Southampton, Sunderland and Bristol City in particular. Middlesbrough in a couple of weeks is going to be another really hard game. Like WBA, it is just a tough place to go and you mentally tick off a point as a great result. I think the beauty of our start is that we're probably in a position now where we can afford to tick along winning at home and picking up the odd away win and we will be in and around the top 2. We want to win every game of course but it doesn't happen like that.
Losing yesterday wasn’t too big a deal…. on 11:13 - Nov 26 with 1736 views | franz_tyson | We're not going to get promotion in November, December or for quite a few months. I'd prefer us to be consistently playing well and not looking at the points gained by our competitors for now. And if we get back on the horse again after a bad game or two - then that would give us that bit more credibility to be real contenders. At this stage, there's so many points up for grabs to even look at the finishing line. The biggest concern wasn't the points dropped - but the fact we were so very second best. Is it just a bad day at the office or is that the momentum has begun to run out of steam and we're really more of a mid table side ( not the worst case scenario in the grand scheme of things)? I really don't know where we're really at or where we're going to finish up - but I do think our form will flatten out. I'm not writing us off - but I don't expect us to be top two in the end. Top six could well be ultimately more of a realistic goal. I just think we're over-achieving with our current squad and over 46 games this will become apparent. Not sure why some are planning for next year in the PL when we saw how easy it is for Sheff Wednesday's big lead to dwindle. Just want to enjoy it and if we beat Millwall I don’t think it will be season-defining. Either if we lose.

So Plymouth, Bristol city We made difficult had the rub of the green if u watched those games need to start games better for sure I understand no easy games but also a game is for 90 minutes plus can't have 20 minutes not on it every game or points will be dropped.

At this level you simply won’t find teams that run a game for 90 min each week, we have to get real - the majority of matches will be tight, fairly patchy games where you need to exploit your good spells.

We beat Plymouth and Bristol City and deserved to do so. If not for a frustrating stoppage time goal, the Plymouth game was a fairly routine win. Brizzle managed about one half chance against us in 90 minutes.

Don't think routine is quite how I describe it could a penalty or a sending off on another day. As for Bristol the one that hit the post and ran along our line hardly routine see stoke was routine 2-0 no stress.

That was their one half chance and it only ran along the line because it hit Hladky on the back. Limiting a side to one half chance in an away game is a very good away performance. I'm not sure what you expect.

Apart from the fact we absolutely tore Swansea apart the game before last?
