I’d be really disappointed if it was. Hopefully this doesn’t affect him.

I assume Tuanzebe cannot play on the left side? Would have thought him and Woolfenden would be the obvious pairing to try otherwise.

I missed Saturdays game, how did woolfy play? Williams must be ill/ injured Should be strong enough to win this one [Post edited 29 Nov 2023 19:09]

No worse than the majority. Wasn't at fault for either goal.

Think wolfys left is as good as the right foot of Burgess. Same with Tuenzebe. It's a shame as wolfy. Tuenzebe combo would be nice. [Post edited 29 Nov 2023 19:10]

I like the look of our team tonight.. Mass gives us some solidity... Axel can keep Clarke in check.. And the front 3 have a chance to redeem themselves from Saturday... If I'm honest, I don't think Clarke and Woolfy play that well together.

It could be that the absence of Williams prompted the more quick / physical defensive choice of Tuanzebe

Yep. Has the pace to get across and cover Clarke’s positional brain-fart moments. Woolfy would start if Williams was fit imo.

I’m surprised, but I think McKenna has enough credit in the bank to trust him with this one. Good managers make and get the tough calls right - even if fans don’t like it!

I sometimes think that Woolfy and Clarke are a bit "matey". And Woolfy being quite laid back, doesn't stick enough focks into Clarke if he's not on it. Just my op', but maybe he'll take more notice of Axel.... Don't get me wrong, I like all our players. But I think the Wolf/ Clarke combo on the right, doesn't look too disdciplined at times. I'd agree, that if Willams was fit, that Woolfy may have started... Likewise, a bit of rotation won't hurt, with the games coming up, fitness wise.

Woolfy is such a McKenna player - I'm sure this is a bit of squad rotation, but like you I'd have thought Axel is such a good player that he could play on his less natural side. Maybe getting him some real game time on his best side with a view to moving him across later? I think it was Stokie who posted a three centre-halves option earlier, which we've definitely got the personnel for, but it would be a big call to change. I could see a future Town team based on a 'back three' of: Woolfy - Tuanzebe - Baggott ... now that would be tasty, but not for now. Something like: -----------------Hladky ----Woolfy --Tuanzebe--Baggott Williams -----------Morsy -----------------Davis -----------------------Taylor ----------Chaplin------Broadhead ------------------Hirst That back five including Williams and Davis can slide round nicely to let one of the 'full backs' to be pushed right up with Woolfy or Baggott becoming a fullback against a counter attack.
