That was a hell of a performance yesterday against a side many consider to be top 6. Leeds are the only side likely to keep pace with us and Leicester and Leeds will drop points as well as us. It will be very close come the end, but no reason to not think we will finish 2nd. Once we get past Leicester away, things look a lot more favourable fixture wise for us, so think the next 5 or 6 games will give us the answer. |  |

I suspect 3rd place will be on 100pts or more this season, and even 4th could be high-90s. I don't see anyone new breaking into the top 4.

That's all very well, but like last season, averages don't count for very much when you have more than two teams also having extraordinary seasons. To finish in the top two, we simply need to get more points than at least two of probably Leicester, Leeds and Southampton. That looks like it will need to be an incredible number of points. The good news at the moment is that we are doing our bit, but it looks like we're going to have to keep up this form to almost the end of the season. | |
