I read somewhere that Cook actually wanted to keep him, he rejected and then he was promoted with Wigan. I guess that decision has really worked out in his favour!
Joking aside, a player along with Toto, Nolan, Ellis Harrison, Roberts, and co. who were miles below the standard we should have EVER accepted here, yet there were people saying that was the best window we ever had at the time... absolutely awful, even Evans realised it weeks into the season, calling in favours to Walters and McAuley (who opted for Rangers instead) to try and save the ship he had already spent years sinking. |  | | |

Adequate third division player, at his best he could look quite good, he worked hard when fir and will always score a few goals, he also got promoted with Wigan the year after leading us. At his worst, looked like a pub player. |  |
