To be fair to the scousers, if 96 Ipswich fans had been crushed to death at a game, been blamed for it by Thatcher and the police, then had the establishment lie some more and delay justice for decades maybe Town fans would boo the anthem too. |  |

I know two people who support Stoke and come from nowhere near the Potteries. In both cases it was because they were at an impressionable age in 1972, when Stoke beat Chelsea in the League Cup final. The respective goalkeepers were Banks and Bonetti. I remember it as a really big game at the time. |  | | |
