Balls. That's not good, they've both been in excellent form in recent weeks. It weakens our ability to bring on impact players off the bench as well.

We've still got...

Left: Sarmiento/Harness
Centre: Chaplin/Al Hamadi
Right: Hutchinson/Jackson

...or variations thereof, which is not be sniffed at at all. Plus maybe Humphreys in 1 or 2 of those roles.

Omari and Harness to start.

Whoever plays on the left will be busy keeping hold of Whittaker. So Harness probably makes sense. Good off the ball.

Let's say we start with Sarmiento and Hutchinson, rather than players of their quality coming on to change the game we're relying on Harness and Jackson. They've done well for us this season and I've always defended Jackson in particular, but there's no doubt that's a noticeable downgrade.

It's still a drop off in quality.

Al Hamadi isn't a 10 as well..

Yeah that's not a bad shout to be fair. And Sarmiento has often had a bigger impact coming off the bench than he has starting.

Jackson and Harness have come on and changed games though, maybe not always as effective as the others but still offer something.

Plus, they should be able to change the game Saturday against League 1 opposition

For sure.

Yes, Humphreys could be a back up 10 perhaps, although I could see Al Hamadi and Moore doing a sort of job share at 9/10 for the last half hour of a game, could be interesting. There are other combos depending on who needs to come off though, which is kind of what I meant.

Big drop off at 70 mins when the subs are due to come on. This does leave us definitely weakened.
