It's growing on me the more I see the squad and staff singing it. It works for me. I might even have to try listening to some of Ed's other stuff as well.
I found a love, for me Suffolk, just dive right in and follow my lead
Well, I found a club, beautiful and fierce Oh, I never knew you were the team waiting for me
Cause we were just kids when we fell in love Not knowing what it was I will not give you up this time But Ipswich, just pass me fast Your heart is all I own And in your eyes, you're holding mine
Ipswich, I'm dancing in the blue With you scoring again Lightning on the grass Supporting with our favourite song When you said you needed a fan I whispered underneath my breath But you heard it Ipswich, you look perfect to me
Well, I found a team, stronger than anyone I know They share my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share its glory I found a player, to carry more than just my hopes To carry love, to carry trophies of our own
We are still kids, but we're so in love Fighting against all odds I know we'll be alright this time
Ipswich, just hold my dream Be my club, I'll be your man I see my future in your eyes
Ipswich, I'm dancing in the blue With you between my arms Lightning on the grass Supporting with our favorite song When I saw you in that blue, looking so powerful I don't deserve this Ipswich, you look perfect to me
It certainly seems to be a massive favourite with the players who we've seen belt it out several times, so would further strengthen that bond. There was an attempt in Christchurch Park to sing it, would be great and unique for us. Whether it could work in the stadium is a tough question.

Bit soft for a terrace anthem. More of a fondle the bridesmaid slow dance end of wedding song.
Lots of terrace anthems over the years have been soft and about love rather than football for example Sunshine on leith by the Proclaimers sung by Hibernian fans. Take a look at this for a spine tingling rendition from the 2016 Scottish cup final
Good night Irene by Bristol Rovers fans would be another good example.
Ipswich fans singing Perfect would be brilliant it obviously means a lot to the players .

True but would be hard to be belting out Perfect when we’ll be getting beat most weeks.
Definitely. It’s been crying out to be played pre-match ever since the Exeter game last season when the team sung it to him. “We were just kids when we fell in love” is the line that makes it work.

Would be amazing.
But half the divs that follow us can’t get Blue Army right, so a complicated song with actual verses has no chance.
It's the sort of thing though where the tune could carry it even when the words get all jumbled up and lost. I suggest if anyone near you is messing the words up, just grab them by the testicles (if they possess such things) and instruct them to just hum or la-la-la the tune.

So it was you I was stood next to in 1974 against Leeds at PR!!
The moment I heard the players singing it, I thought that it would be a brilliant anthem for the club.
It works on a number of levels but I wouldn’t change the words.
I honestly think it could catch up. Would be a great pre-kick off song. When a large group of people sing it collectively, it changes the whole dynamic of the song.
I say we do it. Get the scarves ready.
