The Iranian President's helicopter crashed (or crash-landed) in a remote mountainous area of the country's north west this afternoon. Unclear yet on whether lives have been lost.

Edit: Not looking good from latest reports.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2024/5/19/iran-helicopter-accident-live-

'Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on board the helicopter that suffered a “hard landing” in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, says Iranian state media.
Adverse weather conditions, including heavy fog, are hampering rescue efforts and the helicopter is still missing.'

Crashed in thick fog in mountainous terrain, most likely an accident.

There are also Kurds up in that direction who have no reason to love Iran.

But most likely an accident:

'James Bays
Al Jazeera's diplomatic editor

Iran’s aviation industry has had a horrendous record and that’s in part due to the fact that they can’t get the equipment they need to service their planes.

There have been sanctions in some form against Iran since the revolution in 1979.

Nearly 2,000 Iranians have lost their lives in plane crashes since 1979 and accidents involving Iranian airlines over that 44-year period have resulted in 1,755 casualties.'

McKenna stays and signs a new 10 year contract. We get Citeh on the first day of the season, and play them off the park.

Just as Hirst tucks a penalty away to take us to 3-0 up on 64 minutes, mushroom clouds begin appearing on the horizon.

Pique Ipswich Town that. Banter era alive and indeed well.

Being silly now. There’s no way we get given a penalty.
