My understanding from something I read/heard a few months ago (can't remember the source, I'm afraid) is that the last kits were to be the last of the retro-inspired range. This would suggest to me that the 24/25 season's kits are more likely to be straight out of the Umbro teamwear catalogue. [Post edited 5 Jun 2024 15:46]

My understanding from something I read/heard a few months ago (can't remember the source, I'm afraid) is that the last kits were to be the last of the retro-inspired range. I think the Umbro training kits have been as good as we have ever had. They have done a really good job on the kits as well. Was always keen on Adidas but fair play to Umbro they have done a good job even if I've notmloved every kit. Black kit is up there with best ever.
They have been bought by Castore so will be interesting to see after next year's (which will remain Umbro) what the direction is. | |

I always preferred adidas to Umbro as a rule of thumb.
But Umbro have been far superior than Adidas for town in recent years. Adidas were just lazy with their designs and seemingly last minute. Umbro have put a lot of thought into creating original kits with a nod to our heritage. I love the 90s nostalgia that Umbro bring too.
