Had a chance to properly digest the fixtures last night... 08:00 - Jun 19 with 3343 views | tractorboy1978 | I know you have to play everyone twice, but I think they've fallen pretty well for us. With the obvious caveat 'there are no easy games in the Premier League' we don't really have a proper run of terrible fixtures. I think the worst looks to be around Christmas when we play Newcastle, Chelsea and Arsenal and then the same teams in mid-late April. After the first two games of the season, we have a run of 8 games where 7 are against sides you'd expect to be mid table or lower. A chance to build our way into the season.

You never know, we might catch them cold and spring a result. And if we lose, we lose - but those games are done then.

I'm just thinking 10 wins and 10 draws and that will do? I think we can do that, with the bulk of the present squad ,the camaraderie and togetherness they have along with a few additions and keiron at the wheel I recon we will be alright

10 wins and 10 draws is always my target in the first few seasons of being promoted on FM2007.

Obviously other fixtures will be moved for TV, but at least the Spurs/Man Utd/Chelsea European group stage matches will have minimal impact on us.
Had a chance to properly digest the fixtures last night... on 10:12 - Jun 19 with 2744 views | textbackup | Called my mate and said this yesterday I think someone at the PL has rigged it for us. At home first and last games, a favourable run in, the big boys spread out… they want us to stay up. Maybe whoever it was that gave us all those last min goals and deflections last season has a new job at the PL from his old job in the EFL

We’ll need 50 points to stay up if the madness of the last two seasons is repeated!

Hopefully with Everton and Leicester having more points deductions, finally we'll get a break and it will be it's lowest ever total needed.

Then if we have any chance of staying up we need to be beating teams like Fulham at home so 3 points for the third game Xmas always throws up strange results so Chelsea and Arsenal could work well The only thing I dont like, is that the cup final is on 2 matches before the end of the season! Should always be the last game of the season. I know it was the same this year but we weren't involved. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We will need more than that to make Champions League. Ok maybe a tad optimistic. As it goes I think it’s good to get two of the hardest fixtures early. You never know. In terms of how the fixtures have panned out overall, happy with that. Still looking at the fixtures and pinching myself it’s our fixture list. Shouldn’t we be looking for Cheltenham, MK and Accrington Stanley?

That sort of suggests that none of our pre-season friendlies will be at Portman road. That's understandable with all the building work ongoing.

Apart from this one you mean? https://www.itfc.co.uk/news/2024/may/16/fortuna-friendly-this-summer/ Club must be confident they’ll have a lot, if not all, of the work done by then!
