The fodens . Kanes Bellinghams sakas .look pretty ordinary on 22:07 - Jun 16 with 3209 views | MVBlue | Saka and Foden were spluttering and not playing that well. Just shows what lots of high pressure and putting yourself about without too much dirtiness can do against top sides, I would expect we might see performances like that by Ipswich against the big Premiership teams, mass defence and pressure, then not respecting the opposition but going high energy against them and crafting opportunities to see if you can convert them. In fact i'd day i've seen Man City have ganes like that, where they got what they needed despite pressure from the opposition.

Agreed. He was the best player on the pitch by a mile. Saka was fine too. But he can’t do much without the ball. Foden? Southgate doesn’t know where to play him. Kane? Looks very old. But his record at Bayern says he knows where the goal is.

The fodens . Kanes Bellinghams sakas .look pretty ordinary on 22:14 - Jun 16 with 3080 views | Bigalhunter | Foden, Bellingham and Saka take Southgate out of his comfort zone. He knows he had to pick them but he hasn’t got the slightest idea how to use them. They look like Championship players because they’re playing for a lower Championship level manager. It amuses me when his advocates say he’s done a great job. He’s beaten teams ranked below us and folded against the first decent team. It’s like TenHaag celebrating after squeaking past Newport and Coventry before lucking out against a team who’d spent the week on the lash.

Kane doesn't suit the system Southgate is trying to play, he did grow into the game as Serbia tired but he was completely anonymous for the most part Southgate's refusal to get any pace on for the break was a bit of a puzzler

Kane won't be dropped and shouldn't be. Change Trent for Mainoo and Trippier with a traffic cone until Shaw is fit.

I was watching Kane closely, or as closely as the coverage allowed. He was standing around, hands on hips a lot, & occasionally put in a slow jog. He rarely made himself available to receive the ball & pressure the defensive line. Had one great chance. He just didn't bring anyone into the game. Can't afford passengers at any level. Very disappointing.

Bellingham saka with him Use rice as the dm with mainoo slightly advanced.

Thats actually not a terrible idea. Worth a try if Kane is injured or needs a rest (as it looks)

Kane was clearly told to stay up front and not to come back, where we have other players (i.e Bellingham) He actually was well marked and having only 1 touch in the first half is a bit poor, but I don't think anyone was really looking to pass to him. We seemed happy to just pass it around. Second half, he was more in it, and won us a lots of freekicks off that number 4 and nearly scored. Other posters who have suggested dropping Kane are deluded. Firstly he's the captain. Secondly he's our best goalscorer. You don't drop those players. I'm sure the same was said of him in the last Euros
