We'd been promoted, hundreds of Town fans in that place throughout the day partying before we all took over whatever that nightclub was called, much to the bemusement of the regulars, more than half the age of the average person there that night.
Absolutely top day out that. The following day the players, who'd had their own partying throughout the week, played like most of us fans felt.
With the early kick off as well that might well win awards for the most hungover fan base ever to attend a Town match.

May well have done if it wasn’t on the wife’s birthday weekend.
I live near Cambridge, so not for me. I wish you well with the night though. Sounds awesome. Regarding Alan Hawkshaw, I love the stuff he did for BPM. This is probably my favorite track of his. I find it breathtaking! On the very rare occasion I ever get to DJ, I try to play this. You have to get the next track lined up very quickly though! As an aside, I heard this track played live by an Acid Jazz combo called Pleasure Beach. A cracking cover. They were supporting JTQ at Cambridge Junction in the dim and distant past.

Soul Suite. That was a great night.
We went Warwickshire for a long weekend in January and decided to break the journey with an overnight stay in Blackpool purely to have an afternoon and night in that bar. Blackpool was deserted but Soul Suite was heaving.
Some great characters in there, all immaculately dressed.
I have the original of that on 7". It's actually the b side to a track called rollercoaster. I think it's worth £30+ now. Always a popular track if I get to play it.

I listen to www.bayradio.fm quite regularly. It's a station for ex-pat Brits in Spain. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, there's a scouse DJ called Mark Deakin who loves his Northern Soul. He plays a lot of other stuff too, but always pushes Northern Soul.

I love NS and used to be a regular at the 100 Club all-nighters. I do wish people would just move to the music, rather than everyone dancing the same and turning it into a line dancing look alike.

Might be due to a large percentage of the attendees being 60+! More oxygen cylinders than amphetamines these days!
