What a great storey to cover for being a terrible manager.

This exactly. I thought he couldn't sink any lower in my estimation. Now he's making stuff up to look cool. Idiot.

Whenever there is a ‘who was the worst manager’ thread his name always appears competing with the managerial dregs like Hurst and windbag Lambert.

He was a truly awful manager and this latest nonsense is just a further example. He only gets air time because the tv wallahs hope he is going to thump someone.

To be fair, David Norris told that same story on a podcast years ago. So it's true, he really is that much of a tw@t.

What a plank. No wonder we were in such a state back then. Thank goodness we now have a proper manager. He was such a great player, but now just comes over as a total moron.

Interesting. I can’t see the current crop of players being late for a curfew, yet we’re in the Prem. Funny that.

Full of contradictions too. You don’t build up proper forearms without having early nights.

I know Lambert is never going to be viewed in a positive light with Town fans, but I can't believe he gets shunted alongside Keane in that debate.

Keane had the most money to spend that Evans ever offered and wasted it, he had a core of experienced players with two teenage strikers who went on to be £10m+ players, he alienated players and made himself completely unlikable from the start, meaning no one that wasn't David Norris wanted to play for him, and went 15 games in his first season proper to win a game of football.

The highlight of his tenure was a few games at the start of 2010/11 when we stumbled on a way to win a handful of games. He then decided to fall out with the club captain to make a point, and somehow lasted in the job until January.

He and Hurst - for obvious reasons - are the two worst, comfortably.

Nah, Lambert is clear in the race to the bottom. He was either the worst, or pretending to be the worst in order to get sacked and be put out of his misery. Either is good enough for the ‘win’.

Lambert worst manager (after Hurst) but Keane worst fit, imo. Keane was a shocking appointment for us. Nothing about him resonated with the feel and values of our club.

I still love to this day that Pablo had a bite back at him, and I think said he did it for all the people who have ever been scared of Roy Keane. He summarised it by saying he would always be loved by Ipswich fans, but that Keane is obviously a very sad, lonely and bitter man.

I do think Keane plays up to it now as more of a comedy role, but Pablo!!

They were TOO professional for him. Completely unpredictable lunatic. Little wonder he couldn't manage them.
