Muric could comfortably play outfield 15:53 - Jul 27 with 4287 views | Schmoke | I love him already, could see him becoming something of a cult figure. Ridiculously comfortable on the ball for a keeper.

Muric could comfortably play outfield on 18:55 - Jul 27 with 3574 views | itfcsuth | He was a little over the top with his positioning today, there was very little need for him to be that high. At some stage, if he does continue being so high, it will cost us.

The need was there. It will enable KM to show the players on video how he plays and how we can make the most of it. 100% it will cost us at some points. No different to playing the ball across the back.. but you can bet it will help us score more goals than against.

Also, if McKenna doesn't want him that high he wouldn't be. I'm surprised he only did half the game tbh.

What is the need there? I don’t see a benefit in your goalkeeper being up towards the half way line, and even at one point in the opposition half. He’s not adding anything that Greaves or Edmundson couldn’t do against a team in a block against you. It’s very different to being active in a low build up when you’re trying to entice the opposition on to you in your own half.

There were times when he was further forward than Edmundson. It definitely felt ridiculously dangerous but also pretty exciting at the same time. Can't imagine he's going to be playing that far forward against Liverpool!

You've answered it yourself. He's an extra man and means one of the cbs can push on if they wish rather than staying. So that's the need. Westlake explained it well. It basically means we have 11 men in play against 10. The next stage is the players understanding how to make use of such a keeper.

I understand it deeper in our half, but at the half way line, I see very little he will add that Greaves and Edmundson 5/10 yards away can’t do. When you think risk and reward, a lot of risk and very little reward I can see there.

Don't you know about the new Premier League rule coming in this season? Rule 25385b: All teams must utilise rush goalies during open play. If a goalkeeper is outside his penalty area, the opposition goalkeeper must also be outside his own penalty area. If a goalkeeper enters the centre circle, the opposition goalkeeper must join him there within 10 seconds, or a penalty is awarded.

You definitely know better than Kieran McKenna.

I've not suggested anywhere I know more than KMc, silly comment. I'm just giving my opinion on a forum.

Maidstone-esque. We definitely need another keeper as Number 2.

When you've had a season of hladky. You realise how immobile Walton is.
