Well I always have been a bit of a worrier and I'm desperate for us to add one or two especially with our injury situation. A little bit of a comfort that Keiran feels the same! But I noticed no one has accused him of the above.

In some ways maybe it's good we burst the positivity balloon and come down to earth a bit. It's only a pre-season friendly, but I'm not alone in thinking our squad is looking a tad on the thin side and lacking in genuine PL experience. Even with Hutch missing, have we really spent 60 million quid? Think we might have to double that if budget /FFP allows.
Really don't know how this season will unfold, but we still look a few short. I think CM might be the one key signing amongst a 5 or 6 more.

McKenna was stating facts, whereas bedwetters make things up to fuel their agenda.

Simple answer to this is don't go on twitter. My point is that previous to yesterday anyone who has dared to raise concerns has had bedwetting chucked at him by the usual suspects on here.

Innit. People need some chill, it’s a journey not a destination. These are the days by modern day ITFC standards. We’re hosting Liverpool on the opening day of a premier league season in front of the eyes of the whole world, we’re back in the big time. We’ve got one of the best young British managers and a group of largely young & talented players who seem to care about the badge on their chest.

Just gotta enjoy it and support as we know we can.

I think we all have concerns, (those living in the real world at least) but we still have weeks left in the window. Our first two games are going to be extremely tough (as most are) no matter who we have on the pitch. McKenna will strengthen the squad and starting eleven, I am sure of that. Those that will be "bedwetting" are those who expect us to finish top four.
Survival is the name of the game this coming season.

There is a guy who sits near me did the same with Leif after his first game, wrote him off, waste of money etc etc. He was still claiming last season that he didn't write Leif off after one game, we all still laugh at him.

He said we need to make “a lot more additions” to be competitive. To my knowledge, he didn't give a number.

You've quantified his comment by saying "I'm desperate for us to add one or two". I've seen noone suggesting needing 1-2 more is bedwetting.

I think most people think +4-6 more incoming is needed /ideal (+2 striker or forward, +2 cm, +LB and maybe +1CB). With the time left that is "a lot more additions".

I think the bedwetting (or trolling) comes when some like Chico starts a post interpreting it as a need for 12 new players or replacing everyone, conveniently ignoring KM also said "the players who have been such a big part of it are the first ones to acknowledge that [we need to sign more players] and know that we need to improve the group, and they also want the help because they know the scale of the challenge that they’re going into", which clearly demonstrates KM isn't and doesn't want to add 12 more players.

For a bit of context - we've already spent more than 7 of the last 11 non-parachute teams to stay up and only one non-parachute team has gone down in the last decade spending more than £30m.

Agree. The quality of the league is stratospheric.

I honestly think if we stay up it's Kieran's biggest achievement.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I like that sort of context! No guarantees of course, but that sort of stat helps calm nerves.

My dad and I saw his debut at Filbert Street. ‘Never make a player’. ‘Bit small, weak and rubbish isn’t he. Taken to the cleaners’.

When he broke into the team proper as a midfielder, ‘can’t pass water‘’can’t tackle‘’no pace’’not much of a player’’won’t last’.

I love football and opinions that blow up in your face.

Another one - I thought Muhren was absolute dogsh£te when I first saw him too. Weedy bloke could pass with one foot but that was it. Rubbish. Oh dear.
