I do feel that's why more of our recruitment should look at overseas targets. Those who will see us as a PL opportunity rather than some in the UK who may think we're dead certs for the drop and don't want that on their CVs. | | | |

As crap as it is, that is the position that we currently find ourselves in, and understandably so.
We need to back McKenna as much as we can possibly can, and hope we can lengthen our stay in the Prem for 2-3 years to get ourselves in the position that Brentford currently are. | |

It is 3 seasons. And 3 seasons where they've been nowhere near relegation. Even last season they were 13 points clear of it.
I think half the PL teams 'could go down' but in the minds of players, Brentford are a far more established, less likely team to go down than we are. | | | |

We've been in the same position the past 2 summer windows, where targets will have what they perceive to be better options; sometimes our interest eventually pays off (e.g. Hirst), rest of the time just something that goes with the territory.
What has been noticeable is that having put in good first halves to those seasons, players seem keener to join us in the winter windows (I doubt Kieffer Moore would have joined us last season if we were just scrambling to get into the play-offs) Hopefully that will happen again this winter - couple of decent performances against Liverpool and Man City might even persuade the odd player who is undecided that we're a good option to join this window too. |  |
