I was just pondering what odds he plays for England before Leif does. Whatever we paid for him was a bargain.

Honestly, most of the team did well, Liverpool are (shock horror) a very good team.

I think Fulham is going to be a better benchmark.

Greaves definitely the stand out. Omari was excellent first half and I thought Delap looked a handful too

Harness did well when he came on

Greaves was excellent - best debut from a town player for a long time. And to be coming up from the Champ says a lot too.

Walton played well - perhaps I’d forgotten how good he is!

We basically got schooled in the 2nd half - couldn’t get a toe in the game. But that is how it will be this season for a while I think. I’m confident that KM will make sure we quick learners.

Bit worried about next week TBH.

Wanted to see a bit more quality from Hutch really at 0-0 but it was Liverpool and his first PL start so understandable.

Greaves and Delap were very encouraging debuts, both will do very well in the PL. Walton really good too, really pleased for him. We put so much into the first hour and matched them then ran out of steam a bit. Good to get that one under the belt, that's the nervous first game out of the way. Great team effort, lads should be pleased with most of that.

A lot of the Hull fans said that Greaves was the better buy and PL ready than Philogene.

As long as we don't have the stuffing knocked out of us from these first 2 games we'll be just fine. There's tonnes of positives to take from that.

He was good, just that when he got his chances he snatched a little and lost the ball a few times. I'm not being too critical it's just that he set the bar so high by championship standards

I'd move Tuanzebe into Woolfenden's place. Woolfy was severely exposed for pace today.

Woolfenden had a very good game today. The disdain and dislike fans have for him reminds me of Scowcroft's time here, albeit Woolfenden is a better player.

If you want to speak about being exposed for pace have a look at Tuanzebe again.

Sorry don’t agree i think he was poor today,Greaves showed us the level needed to be playing in the Prem, hopefully we are in for another decent CB although i do like Tuanzabie. Not a witch hunt just an honest opinion

If you think Woolfenden was poor then I'm not sure you were watching the same game. Was Greaves better? Yeah, ok. That doesn't make Woolfenden woeful.

It's interesting that both goals came from Davis leaving his man, yet nothing is said against him, yet Woolfenden is still the one - even now - being questioned.

Dont disagree re: Davies he didnt have his best game defensively . But we were discussing CBs and mu view is Greaves is a level above Woolfy and where we should be aspiring to as far as CBs go.

Agree completely, thought the centre backs had a decent match. Greaves was the pick but I can't see what Woolfie did wrong at all. Some people just have their minds made up regardless of performance.

Davis looked comfortable in the first half but was done a couple of times in the second but by some real quality passing and forward play.

I personally think Woolfenden could get there.

If we're looking at a cut above then my personal opinion is central midfield is where we really need to look, and maybe we have with Phillips and, hopefully, Cajuste.

I like Woolfy, so there is no disdain or dislike, but it looked like he was running in sand. Also gave away an awful passback to one of their players which could have cost us an early goal.

There is a reason why we are chasing another right sided central defender.

i find it consistently strange how people on here under-rate woolfenden. it feels like i'm watching different games to some people. always very very odd.

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

From memory, as it happened in front of me, it was a slip rather than a back pass so he didn't get enough weight or right direction on it. And I seem to recall Morsy started that with a bad pass, so it almost resulted in an unfunny comedy of errors.

That's why I said I thought he was great overall rather than simply great, though, because of the error. I don't think he looked out of his depth out there today, and will stand by that. Especially as others did but are not being criticised.

That awful Woolfie pass you talk about was a tackle!

He was ok today was Woolfie.
