Shirt printing 16:45 - Aug 27 with 2103 viewsitfc48

We went through the period where replica shirts on adult blokes was frowned upon in some circles - thankfully replica shirt culture is now widely embraced.

However, what are people's thoughts on grown blokes having a player's name and number printed on the back especially if they are older than all the players?

The Prem patch is excluded - that's a must-have accessory!

My overriding thought is people should wear and decorate their shirt however they want to.

Wear whatever makes you happy, not what makes others happy.

I am a bit sad that the Premier League no longer offers a gold print as would have looked great on the away. I think Arsenal had gold on their maroon retro home in 2006.

What are my thoughts on "grown blokes" needing to ask some strangers permission about getting some facking letters on a football shirt?!

Good luck.

Not a fan of it, definitely not a fan of badges etc. Don’t especially care what people have on their shirts though.

I do think those comedy puns or “granddad 65” type things are weird. Walking out of the Etihad I saw “Man City 4” on a shirt and thought that was about as tinpot as you can get. But I’m not going to get upset about it.

I wouldn't want to spoil our shirt by putting THAT word on it

I don't understand how “granddad 65” is weird. Surely that is just grandchildren knowing their granddad's passion and buying a thoughtful Christmas or birthday present.

I just think it’s an odd thing to put a shirt as it ruins it for me. Although I’ve just remembered a few seasons ago a few people putting their Twitter handles
On complete with @ - that was really odd
