They tend to dominate possession in most games.

We need to do better when we do get the ball

Morsy needs to close his legs.

We also need to utilise the diag to our wide forwards.

We’re getting a little bullied too.

Davis has been excellent so far.

In fairness, it feels like we can't tackle without giving away a foul whilst they have carte blanche to do what they want. See Morsy.

Don't think Morsy has been good enough today. Got beat a few times and then booked and Delap has had nothing stick.

Combine that with unforced errors at the back giving away corners and it's not surprising. Can see us getting better as we get into our swing though.

Might well be a perfect game for finishers. Gring em down and catch em late with og, clarke and hirst.

They are a very good pressing team too which is making it tough for us to play out the way we want

First game morsy looks a bit lost. Seems a bit slow today maybe carrying a little knock.

We look like this is our first game of the prem season and not sure how to play it.

Guess that's the trouble with international breaks not much time to work on things.

I said it elsewhere but I do think we're, to an extent, missing Woolfenden. He knows our approach, the angles to take to receive the balls from midfield and our general style of play. O'Shea has had little time with us, thanks to Ireland, and is trying to build those relationships.

But it makes more sense for O'Shea to learn now, in a game where we probably didn't expect much in terms of points, than next week, where there should be more of a chance.

Interesting how quiet Delap has been. Given his recent performances I suspect there is a real effort to shut him down, along with Hutchinson. Tactically, Brighton are doing a great job so far, but we've shown glimpses, and if we can shut up shop as we did the first half, then who knows? We might get a chance to grab a goal.

Morsy is looking his age today. He daren't make another tackle so he is going to be a passenger which we can't afford. I'd get Cajuste on.

No time for sentiment in this league. If he's not playing well then as captain it makes it worse. He's the driving force. If he's off then it disrupts the rest.

So slow then, just too slow on ball and given away.

But they seemed do get ragged when the goal didn't come, opening things a bit for us. I love the way we wore them down. It's going to be a feature this season as we have a lot less of the ball than we've been used to in the last 2 years. Maybe not as pleasing on our eye, but if we can secure our place in this division then it'll be as brilliant in it's own way!
