Aiui the protocol was nations could call up injured players, clubs don't stop that, even then if it's just to do their own medical scans and determine player really is injured, or as part of a wider team building setup to be involved in the group dynamic but not play.

I think it's pretty obvious when a player is injured or is being protected.
BW was protected last season which was the correct thing to do. The same for Muric this season.

Probably because they don't want to put out there, that a fanbase that is already not enjoying relegation, that in our crucial January window, we were forced to barrel scrape to sign an unfit player not up to Premier League standards, just because quality players wouldn't touch us. It would send a message that we aren't up to it. |  |
