Think they'll get Phillips, and sign both Davis and Clarke from us next season. It would be funny to see them pay waaay over the odds for players they developed! As for Phillips, it would probably be the best move for him, although if there was a pie in the sky situation where he would drop down a division to play with us next season, I think he would have a better time here in a promotion push than he might have at Leeds in the top flight circling the drain. |  |

Phillips has 2 years left on very high wages if I remember correctly, I would think any club loaning him will be paying a decent part of, I expect he will only be affordable to Leeds if they get promoted, which they look likely to at the moment. I would love him to continue at Town next season but can't see any Championship club able to afford him regardless of him being willing to drop down. Although I hope I am wrong and he decides to stay, great player. |  | | |

Lazy nostalgia links really, although Phillips wouldn't be a bad signing if they can keep him fit. He brings some premier league experience and I think he's more game ready now than he was 6 months ago. I can see why Jack Clarke would be exciting for them given he was so highly thought of coming through at Leeds and they never got much chance to see it before he went to Spurs. I'd be disappointed to lose him as I think he would do very well next season, but out of Omari, Philogene and Clarke he's probably the one I would lose first. We've got good depth with Chaplin, Szmodics & Broadhead all be having the potential to be very handy next season, I'd love to see Chaplin scoring goals for us again.

Phillips and Clarke they can have. Doubt either would make much difference to their PL survival chances though.
Davis they spent almost all of last season disparaging as a Leeds reject. No idea why he’d want to go back there to play in front of those troglodytes again. He’s a Newcastle fan, he probably couldn’t give a sh1t about Leeds. |  | | |

It's hard to feel sorry for someone on £150,000 a week but I do have some sympathy with Phillips. I don't see him at PR next season and unless Leeds have a much better over all team than Town I can't see Phillips being that much use to them. But then any sensible management team would see that three teams promoted are the three demoted for two seasons running and make adequate adjustments to their squad so that the same thing doesn't happen a third time. Town I suggest had too many areas to cover in such a short time. Players that had come up from Division One weren't good enough and the likes of Davis and Hutchinson have been a long way off last seasons form. | | | |

Phillips, Davies and Clarke are not premier league players, why would they keep Leeds up when they are part of a relegation pending team this season.
They are however top of the pile Championship players which we want to be keeping at all costs.

I have to ask..... why is there a genuine discussion about Phillips remaining here as if we'd be blessed if he did? He hasn't reached the standards we wanted for what we are paying him. I can't believe some are still star-struck by him.

I don't think he is a terrible player and does make us harder to beat but he certainly doesn't look like an England player any more
Perhaps ironically, a spell with us, playing a bit more regularly might help him more for his next move which may well be Leeds
That's all a little way off, by a sheer fluke of luck, we may beat Wolves and Leicester and suddenly we are on Wolve's tail again, that would make an interesting finish to the season

From what I’ve seen of Leeds this season, Tanaka has seemed as good as Phillips at a fraction of the cost taking the difference in the leagues into account
