I really think it was more the scenario then anything else. It's very weird and pre-season only to have 11 of you all coming on and players not played together/out of position. In the context they didn't do that bad and could easily have made it 4-0 with a couple of good chances.
No bad thing to have a competitive finish there at the end. Saw it out comfortably in the end.

Very like what happens in the cup matches with a second choice 11.
Chaplin looked good.
I thought we played well as a team in the first 60 mins. Philogene stood out and there was good link up generally.
Chaplin is one of the best players for quick thinking on the ball and twist n turns. He rarely takes more than 2 touches of the ball before either shooting or passing it. Very hard to mark that type of player in my view.
Not so sure about that. We were ok. Connor had 2 shots on target. Ogbene had his moments. That was ok. Aberdeen were better towards the end when they matched our press. But we were generally in control.

Speaking of which, some of Broadhead's work on the left touchline late on... oh my goodness!
Was thinking about this last night and it really was a case of players just simply trying to see the game out without really knowing their roles as a unit
For example. Walton v Palmer. Palmer was calm with the ball. Walton was quite nervy. Didn't know where his players were to pass to
The back 3. Wolfy. Kipre and baggott. When you compared their starting positions on the ball to the pre 65 unit their positioning just wasn't there. When you watched the first 65 unit they kinda looked like a bottom of an Xmas tree in shape to thread the ball between. The post 65 unit baggott was too flat to kipre and wolfy bless him didn't know where to be.
Cms. Well kinda showed why we need reinforcements desperately. Clarke and humphreys didn't really show to get the ball and on the ball neither really sprayed it around. Then on the flanks ogbene isn't a clarke so we lost that hutchinson type drop role where clarke got the ball and beat men in the midfield whereas ogbene hugged the touchline needing threaded balls.
I Don't think we will see the same post 65 team starting together Tuesday as it'll get eaten up imo. But it's good minutes in the legs for them though.
