We have spent a lot of money on supposedly top Championship players, adding them to a squad which was good enough to win automatic promotion. While it's only a few games, if results don't improve over the next month, McKenna has a lot of questions to answer as he bought all those players.

Yep. I know they’re coming. However, Greaves, Palmer, Clarke, Philogene, Muric, Johnson the list goes on and on. Don’t fit the system, too lightweight, unintelligent footballers.

You would think that McKenna says yes or no to all signings. Ashton is CEO, not director of football. He will negotiate the deals & get them done, not choose the players.

I'd hope today was the end of the Clarke experiment. Cajuste has to start, Taylor just isn't Championship quality. Greaves looks imperious 99% but costs us a goal seemingly every game. O'Shea simply not a leader, Davis & Young both showed significantly more fight.

Thought Philogene had a good game, hamstrung by the fact Preston got effectively put 3 players on him the rest of the attack was so toothless

But a manager should be creating a system to fit his players strengths, not try and put round pegs in square holes, in an effort to make a "system" work, which is exactly what McKenna keeps doing....

We’ve had two (perhaps soon to be three?) shocking transfer windows in a row but the bigger concern to me is we still continue to persist with the sh1t we bought rather than the arguably better players that now warm the bench if they haven’t left already.
