We need a dominant central midfielder, some serious competition for Hirst and an attacking player who has that little bit of X factor. Those are minimum requirements – there's also an argument for proper left-back cover and a better solution at right-back than we currently possess.
Ideally you'd make some tough decisions. Jack Clarke doesn't look at all right here. Maybe a big moment or two in front of the north stand will sort it. But something is off and if we could find a taker & bring in someone more suitable, I daresay we'd do that. But we are short on time and to a large extent may have to go with the hand we've dealt ourselves. | |
