Potentially a good loan location for some of our Academy players - we know he is good at working with young players and location wise it's close enough for our staff to visit relatively easily.

I think he was disenchanted about the lack of first team chances for our younger players.
Had a bit of a point about younger players not getting chances. Mind you, things have changed a lot. If we'd stayed as an Evans run club... Humphreys and Baggott would be first team regulars ..... but in L1.

Spoke pretty openly about that. And was pretty annoyed at the way Norwood was treated iirc. Never put a name to the person he was angry at but got the impression maybe the relationship with Ashton/Rolls was not great.
