Ha, just seen the quote

apparently the key-takeaway from this by-election is that Reform voters decided to vote for Burnham in order to get Starmer out

There's so much wrong with that statement that it's difficult to know where to begin

yes, i think his takeaway is that reform "supporters" are far more likely to vote for labour if burnham is involved.

not sure how that comforts him!

IN the history of ludicrous excuses this features very high on the list of most ludicrous.

It saves them having to face the fact that the majority of voters dislike them, distrust them and in many cases despise them

Given the neglible green and lib dem votes it is pretty clear there was ta tical voting to ensure Reform didn't win. This is something that I think will play a big part in British politics moving forward.

I suspect that come the next election my best vote to keep Reform out would be for the Conservatives. Which would be difficult for me. My local Tory MP is not too bad as an opposition politician, but he's one of those nutters who wants to privatise everything especially the NHS, so should not be allowed anywhere near government.

They're all full of sh1t.

Lisa Nandy was on Sky News saying there is no way anyone voting Restore would have voted Reform anyway so there was no split in the vote. Just so obviously untrue.

I find it strange and very amusing that reform generally do very well in area's that have a high percentage of people claiming income support, especially when reform claim they will cut £80 billion from the benefits budget! Turkey's voting for Christmas springs to mind.

Whilst doubtful, Reform’s usual line of “Vote Reform to get rid of Starmer” was rendered unusable for this by election.

Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened.

That sounds horrible. Mine will be a close thing between Labour and the Greens - I just hope the infighting doesn't let someone sh1thead in.

Jenrick on Radio 2 just got caught with his trousers down saying it was a get Starmer out vote, but failed to address the point that Reform stand a better chance against Starmer as they would Burnham....

I think the more air time that Tice and Jenrick get the better.

In other news, Farage needs another £5 Million, ‘cause a sheep has been worrying him in that field, so he needs more protection.
