Doesn't sound like the best summer ever to me:
"Harvests failed, farmers despaired, Britain imported an extra million tonnes of grain, food prices rose by 12%, taps ran dry, and each day, 250 people died from heat-related deaths."
Unfortunately those type of events are only going to get worse with the climate change we are seeing.

Deary me.
I’m merely pointing out that to a lot of people who grew up during the Summer of 76 it was fantastic. Which is why people look back in it so fondly.
During the big snowstorms of 2010, whilst I was pulling my hair out because I had to close my business for three days my kids were having the time of their lives sledging, throwing snowballs and building snowmen. They were blissfully unaware of their dad having sleepless nights or people unable to get to work, old people unable to afford to heat their homes etc. | |
