In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Doesn't mean he's not a bit of a tool though. He's said some very questionable things lately when airing his views.
I assume you think it's fine for them to come in and disrupt the meeting? Didn't see many people doing that at the Labour conference last week did you?

Not really, that report in the Guardian fully supports that he politely responded to them and was willing to debate with them:
“You’re welcome to talk to me, but it’s difficult if your intention is to shout and wave leaflets,” Rees-Mogg said. “This is not academic debate. Everything you say is despicable,” the man replied, before being led away by security staff as Rees-Mogg said it was “nice to meet you”.
The protestor comes over far worse - the other quotes in your article are no different, I can only assume you didn't read the article you posted.
You also have decided not to answer my question - do you think it's right they storm in and yell at people like that? Is it only fine as Labour supporters are doing it? Would you have been so quiet on this point if Tory supporters did it last week at the Labour conference.

So you've ditched UKIP now Luk?
I wouldn't consider myself politically aligned with anybody at the moment, but that's not relevant to my post at all.
You conveniently left out the video of Rees-Mogg being respectful and debating with somebody who just wanted to shout him down, so I thought I'd chuck it in the mix.
Wasn't it Corbyn who cried out for 'friendlier politics'? Well Rees-Mogg has obliged so surely you should be happy about that considering you're a member of the Corbyn cult?

It's a bit rich any of you farage lot throwing around the cult word (or the other c word for that matter) but there you go.
It's also been amusing to watch the right move from a narrative of calling him a joke and unelectable, to sh1tt1ng themselves about his sudden electability and moving, cult like, to describing his movement as a cult. Bit desperate.
As for JRM, agree he is very polite in the way he deals with people. Classic wolf in sheeps clothing, as his voting record indicates the real measure of the man and the contempt in which he holds much of the population.

From my right wing perspective - yes we dismissed Corbyn as a joke to our peril. However it is not him personally that now worries me, more the apparent shift towards a command economy that he and Mcdonnell represent. I fear some old battles are going to be refought and if they get elected a lot of people are going to learn the hard way the real difference between a market driven economy and a socialist model.

I'm not keen either if truth be told.
However the Tories are only interested in personal ambition and pretty much have been since 2010. There's absolutely zero focus on the national interest. It's been the most desperate period of leadership I can recall this country enduring.

Corbyn is a very nice man who means well. However socialist revolutionaries are very adept at blending into the background behind whoever happens to be a the Maximum Leader before getting shot of him as soon as they can and taking over. That's what worries me really.

A cross between Walter the Softy and Lord Snooty from the Beano. To be fair he handled those antifa type priks well but he looks like he's from Victorian times and probably owns a cotton mill and a sugar plantation.

He WAS challenged on poverty, food banks, jobs etc and Rees - Mogg just ignored him and waffled on about something totally different.
"Engaging and respectful"to his own agenda which of course is how you would expect him to be as a sly politician.
He didn't answer a single question.
Are you going to reply with your thoughts on whether it's acceptable to act like a bunch of children and burst in at meetings you don't like yelling and screaming? They weren't there for debate, they were their to shout down whoever they could.
Didn't see people doing that at the Labour conference. Is this JC's new kinder politics or are some portion of Labour supporters just nasty pieces of work who cannot accept other peoples opinions?

Antifa? They're really nothing like Antifa. That's like calling a WI meeting with a few Daily Mails scattered about the place a Church Hall Putsch.
