So a week into Boris Johnson’s new Tory government and that’s 4 promises broken

1) Islamophobia inquiry dropped in the same week that Tommy Robinson and Paul Golding have applied to join

2) His Brexit deal is not “ oven ready” and No Deal is back on the table

3)Workers rights removed from withdrawal agreement despite them being “ almost certain” to be included

4) Living wage will now only rise if “ economic conditions allow” - and under economic analysis of his Brexit plan, these conditions are unlikely to be met

I for one am truly shocked that someone with Johnson’s relationship with the truth would have done this...

No one who voted for it is remotely interested in holding him to account as that would require admitting that perhaps everything they were told in the GE build up was true. Goal post moving time sadly.

As usual it will be the left, who didn’t vote for it, who will have to take to the streets and protect the rights of voters, many of which probably deserve what’s coming to them, whilst being told we’re all a bunch of crusties who need to respect democracy and get over it.

As I’ve said before, a democracy based on outright lies, broken promises and stupidity is not a true democracy in any form.

We certainly all would have lost if the left had got in with their crazy pending plans and anti business approach; kicking the poverty can down the road

Wondering why anyone would downvote this? Perhaps Haynes Toe likes being lied to and being worse off as a nation and population?

Luckily, our hugely respected and trusted media will hold the government to account ...

On a connected note, it's ironic that when people complain about democracy and politicians who are out of touch with reality and untrustworthy, the UK has managed to vote in the most out-of-touch and untrustworthy leader and government in living memory. And with a big majority too.

What sort of strange doublethink world are we living in, in the UK?

But not all were voted in

Morgan and Goldsmith weren't, they were appointed to the cabinet via Lords.

Never mind, his promises will now be dropped faster than any of his floozies knickers.

Well imagine if Labour had won with Corby as leader, the most out-of-touch and untrustworthy leader ever. But you're too blinked to see people trusted Corbyn less than Boris. Thankfully there are enough people in this country who weren't brainwashed by momentum lies.

Are you for real?

Johnson and his Brexit cronies, on a personal and professional level, are well-documented liars, cheats and incompetents.

If we were playing Dishonest C@nt Top Trumps they'd wipe the floor with the politicians from all other parties.

What do we need to take to the streets about Callis?

Right now, nothing has changed. Workers rights haven't changed. Ambitions around future living wages haven't changed. Positions on refugee children haven't changed.

When something does change, then fair enough. Right now all we have got is a lot of shrill voices desperate to prove that 'they were right and the nasty man has done a thing'.

Why blame the voters ? Why not blame the parties for not doing enough to win their vote?

Labour over the last 20 years has allowed the working class vote to slip through its fingers in the north, midlands, and Wales & it all culminated last week. It is unbelievable the Tories have won ex mining towns like Blythe but really was on the cards , & no I dont put all the blame on Corbyn (though I've never known a labour mp as disliked by working class voters as him) , it's a much bigger problem for labour.

Look also how theyve basically just given up on Scotland.

The tories were given a free pass last week & it's the fault of labour for not reaching out & offering an alternative that the regions mentioned above could vote for.

But that's the point, especially on workers rights and stuff. They haven't changed, yet.

I don't trust the tories with their record not to change them though and I don't suspect it will be for the better. For all its faults the EU was a decent backstop (lol) against eroding our rights if a prime minister so wished.

Someone pointed me in the direction of the book Britannia Unchained. Two of the people responsible for that book are in the government. That is probably why workers rights were not included in the bill.

Thankfully these haven't 'lost', have they ?

"A government deadline to make all trains accessible for disabled people will not be met.

No fewer than 10 operating companies have been granted permission to breach the accessibility standards that were due to come into force on 1 January. Around 1,200 carriages — many of them on notorious northern routes — will continue running into the next decade."

or

"an admission that businesses in Northern Ireland will have to pay “additional administration costs” after Brexit. It’s related to the forms that will need to be filled in on imports on goods coming from Great Britain."

whereas the fat liar had previously said

"reassuring worried exporters they will not have to fill in customs declarations when they send goods across the Irish Sea. In answer to a question from an exporter about whether his business would have to complete extra forms, Johnson said: “You will absolutely not.”

Was out with an Italian female friend this week and some geezer tried chatting her up (see also, being a bit entitled and couldn’t take a hint) by talking to her about Brexit and respecting British values. It was a car crash.

Glad everyone believed what Swinson and Corby said then, oh they didn't did they.
And listening to the HOC today Labour still have not learnt and several still believe they have the mandate to remain.
