Now, what I would is take the jacket out the over when nearly done, cut it into wedges. Fry off bacon till its crispy with onions and mushrooms and add the wedges so they go a bit
crispy as well

Then either eat like like, or add these and/or beans

I'm rather fond of melted cheese with a big dollop of egg mayo on top (plus butter first, of course). Think it's the combination of flavours, textures and hot/cold which does it for me.

Jacket spuds - like chips - have to be cooked thoroughly, not leaving a hard lump of near-raw in the middle.

15 minutes in the microwave then 25 minutes in the oven to crisp up the outside and finish off any hard bits in the middle.

Cross cut and add butter.

Bacon (or lardons) in small pieces mixed with sour cream and dressed with a bit of parsley.

1) Make sure the potatoes are cooked through properly and the skins are as crusty as fcuk
2) Add copious amount of butter
3) Then add tuna mayonnaise
4) Sprinkle lavishly with grated cheddar cheese
5) Be sure to retain some tuna mayo and cheese to eat with the crusts

It goes without saying that Baked Beans are an absolute no no at any time on anything

Are you a Northerner?

You cant microwave jacket potatoes and expect them to be edible, they need a good 90-120 minutes in the oven at 180 Celsius - maybe more if you dont have a fan oven
