"MHRA, said reports of blood clots so far didn’t exceed what would have occurred naturally in the vaccinated population." As it is no worse than would be expected normally, why are they suspending vaccinations? Are they intending to suspend jthe jab if it is found to not make some other conditions unrelated to covid any better or any worse?

Keep up, had the Oxford one about 2 weeks ago, felt a bit woolly headed after but that was probably just my blood getting a little thicker. Will definitely be feeling a little more anxious about part 2 now as this was not flagged up as a possible aside effect in the studies. I wonder if there will be any more?

What's your point here Banksy? No-one's brushing it under the carpe, it's an incredibly rare side effect. It's still safer than actually getting covid by several tens of thousands of magnitude.

Well done. I'm sure there will be a very long list of side effects in the end just as there is with virtually every medicine in existence. I doubt any of them will be anywhere near 'common'.

Are you actually that bothered about a possible side effect that is extremely rare?

Well a little, it seems odd that there's so much focus on this one particular batch and having two cases in one hospital must be a concern statistically. It is a bit cr@ppy honestly that people feel so threatened just for straying from the 'all is well' narrative!

Who is threatened? Five cases in Europe. None that I know of in the UK. We produce the vaccines for the UK here. Europe's AZ vaccines from Europe. I'd be slightly more concerned if I lived in Europe. I don't see why you would be concerned.

Has there been a thread on these blood clotting deaths yet....? on 17:56 - Mar 11 with 1430 views | Timefliesbyintheblue | There is far too much scare mongering on this subject and far too much information released far too early. Now I am no expert but believe there are at least three flu vaccines used regularly in the UK with different dosages according to age - all with a very slight degree of risk. Do we hear about these - or are they forever analysed; of course not. Journalism at its worst....

Surly there’s side effects to nearly all drugs and vaccinations. I’m not sure how 1 in 166,000 differ to side effects in other vaccinations but it sounds very rare. I don’t think people feel threatened at all - at those odds, I’m sure most are simply ‘meh’ I’ll take my chances and have it. Edit. By ‘have it’ I meant having the vaccination rather than having Covid. [Post edited 11 Mar 2021 18:01]

Exactly this. About 15 years ago I had the Yellow Fever vaccine. I was given a warning that it could potentially give me severe organ failure, around 1 in 250,000 chance I believe. I still had it because the chance is so low. Of course, with how many people have had the Covid vaccine, there will be the odd case that doesn't end well for the recipient. Just another non vaccine story by the OP.

I mean as far as what it is deemed acceptable to raise on here! This references the 2 cases in Austria which got my attention a few days back. 2 cases in the same district would be statistically very unlikely considering the evidence of our resident statisticians and probably why there is so much focus on this particular batch. https://www.thelocal.at/20210307/austria-suspends-use-of-batch-of-covid-jab-afte [Post edited 11 Mar 2021 18:06]
