Cute. Youre a grown man who's got so giddy about a new manager who has literally achieved nothing for us yet he's your bloody display pic.

Not giddy, just sensible and acknowledging the task he actually has as town manager, not what you think FM21 management is like in real life.

He's making a fair point. You need to stop jumping on people for no reason. Cook will likely be a great manager for us in the longer term but he's achieved nothing yet and the OP would have mocked anyone who pointed to a good 40 minutes under Lambert.

But Lambert wasn't in the ' beginning stage' of his managerial career of ipswich so no you wouldn't expect people to have got excited about it. Haynes, keeps asking what improvements people are saying, so here's Bluefish showing positive feelings about how he found today, so fairplay to him. [Post edited 20 Mar 2021 20:27]

I don't think he is a budgie actually although when he first started posting on here I did. Back then he only seemed to appear on threads when Naaarwich were mentioned and then only to defend them.

To be fair this is EXACTLY what happened under Lambert at the start - we saw an improvement in spells across matches (Preston, Reading, Bristol City inparticular) but didn't score enough whilst conceding sloppy goals. Confidence started to wilt and old habits returned. We went down in the end with a wimper. [Post edited 20 Mar 2021 20:52]

Oh come on now, if you add up all the good bits over two and a bit years it MUST get to 40 minutes.

The difference is, Lambert should never have been given the job in the first place.

Yeah, have to admit I didn't like the Lambert appointment from the off and supported the idea of Cook. Then again I thought Hurst was the right guy so...
