Today is the day of virtually spending all the new owners cash on your hopes and dreams for the club as we all try to decipher quite how much they have to hand.

I’m spending some money on an EPOS and inventory system so i can manage the catering outlet stock levels. I’m also buying some of those beer pouring machines they use at test matches so everyone gets a half time pint when they want it.

I’m also buying a pitch with approx 1% fibre so when we get into the Championship we have a modern surface to play on.

The takeover is great, we have funds, and at last some non-executive strategy and direction in a part time capacity that we have craved.

BUT the success of the club in the near to medium term is on Paul Cook and the new CEO. We don’t know who the latter is yet - and fans are right to be sceptical of Ashton from Bristol.

How will the new CEO and Cook gel?

Cook clearly expected his future was working with Marcus, not a new team. How will he react? He has left clubs before due to change he did not like.

Finally should Boursin takes its place alongside some of the traditional cheese platter classics?
