but at least he tries unlike the majority of everyone else, even pressure and the press with vigour would actually help

Tomorrow. on 13:17 - Apr 12 with 1271 views | clive_baker | I have my pragmatic, lower injury risk, lower ceiling but higher floor, won't get slapped and might scrape a win XI, which is fairly uninspiring and something like: Holy, Woolfenden, Chambers, Nsiala, Ward, Dozzell, Bishop, Downes, Judge, Sears, Drinan. Then I have the f*** it, heart over head XI which is putting the best footballers (on paper) out there and hoping something clicks: Holy, KVY, Chambers, Nsala, Nydam, Dozzell, Downes, Bishop, Parrott, Jackson, Norwood. Would love to see Nydam at left back.

Second team but with Dobra instead of Parrott. For all Parrott's work rate, his ball retention is really not up to the level it should be.

I like both of those because Edwards is in neither. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Considering Cook said tomorrow will determine the season I think he's going to take risks with returning players and throw everything at it.

Tomorrow. on 21:40 - Apr 12 with 926 views | hadleighboyblue | Both Dobra and Nydam deserve a run in the team , but Nydam might need too be treated carefully after such a long time out , so think he might be on the bench . But I'm hoping both get a chance in the 1st team , they are both worth including , with a view to being regulars next season

Here’s the part if PC’s interview where he talks about Tristan: Cook is clearly a fan of Nydam, who caught the eye after such a lengthy spell out during the final half our on Saturday. “Tristan, I’ve watched the last two U23 games and one of the criticisms of the team as a team is that, again I’m going to speak carefully, we don’t have enough contact, we’re nice,” he reflected. “[We need to] have players in the team who have contact and win the ball back and break up play, then you’re supposed to supply flair players with the ball to go and create chances and score. “As you can see with us at the minute, we’re just very much a work in progress. Tristan’s got great qualities, as a lad he’s got a heart as big as a lion, he’s got a great desire to win games, to compete, and that’s something in a lot of games we lack.” I’m reading that as saying that he’s watched him in the U23s and seen him do things that those in the 1st team aren’t doing, and he wants him to bring that to the team. Otherwise, why put him in?

you may well be right, it would make sense your way as we certainly don't have a the first team doing it. I thought at first view he was watching him in the u23s but it's too nice. But agree with you it's most likely more a positive about him than not. On that point, was it Jewell who said we were to nice? [Post edited 12 Apr 2021 22:01]
