Depends how we define freedom.
I'm sure the Taliban think they are freeing the country of 20 years of occupation and proxy rule.
Obviously I don't agree with their politics and the freedoms they will inevitably take away from society.
But Western governments always define freedom in adherence to our current geo-political view point and that is why freedom fighters and terrorists become interchangeable over time. |  |
