So formation tonight 11:06 - Jan 25 with 1726 views | FrimleyBlue | What's people's thoughts I'm caught. 2 central strikers did the business in the first 2 games. Then we come unstuck with wider front players against Bolton And whilst we won sat... overall did the wide set up suit us? Or did we appear much more organised and controlled the game better with the 2 central pair of bonne and norwood. It's always hard to make a case when you've had a positive result but something still didn't feel natural about Saturday as it did in those first 2 figures under km.

So formation tonight on 11:29 - Jan 25 with 1595 views | davblue | We played with 2 10's in behind Bonne on Saturday. Some of our movement on Saturday was very good, 2nd half we controlled that game. We could have quite possibly have been 1-3 down on Saturday at half time, but we got a bit of luck and took control of it from there on in. Oh and Norwood played wide in that 1st game v Wycombe Wycombe was 3-4-3 Gillingham 3-4-1-2 Bolton i didn't see that game. Accy 3-4-2-1 [Post edited 25 Jan 2022 11:31]

So formation tonight on 11:31 - Jan 25 with 1565 views | StokieBlue | I want to see Celina and Chaplin as the two number 10's again. I think that could be absolutely deadly long-term if they can get an understanding between them and interchange with helping the CF. Celina offers craft and unlocking defences and Chaplin is busy and gets goals so they could compliment each other really well behind a focal point CF. SB
So formation tonight on 11:31 - Jan 25 with 1560 views | Kieran_Knows | Nope, continue with 1 up top (Norwood or Bonne) and have Celina & Chaplin in those floating number 10 roles behind him just like Saturday. Thought that worked really well and Chaplin and Celina found themselves in some really good positions at times.

Norwood didn't play wide against Wycombe. At times he went across but wasn't as wide as he was against Bolton for prolonged spelles. The maps I posted last week showed it it was still more of a '2' along with the gills game. I didn't really feel it were two 10 roles on sat but happy to be wrong. I suppose it doesn't matter as long as we win. And nice to see its even a discussion rather than which 4 2 3 1 are we playing today.

So formation tonight on 11:53 - Jan 25 with 1445 views | itfcsuth | Wouldn't revert from the 3-4-2-1 tonight, mainly due to the fact that I think Celina & Chaplin are the ones who can produce a bit of magic for us in them positions in the pocket. Won't be easy again tonight, these games never are, Wimbeldon are the side with the most draws in the League, and have already picked up draws against ourselves, Sheff Wed, Wycombe, Portsmouth & Burton this season. Wouldn't expect a free flowing goals galore occasion, can see only a single goal being the decider.

To be fair I thought Norwood played wide against Wycombe at times and we also played with two No 10's at the weekend but WTF do I know hey Positions were quite fluid I'll give you that

"I didn't really feel it were two 10 roles on sat but happy to be wrong." Every journalist I've heard said it was two number 10's. The commentary on the beloved radio said it was two number 10's. It was clear from watching the match and where they were positions it was two number 10's. SB

So formation tonight on 12:48 - Jan 25 with 1202 views | clive_baker | If available it's probably: Walton Donacien Woolfenden Edmundson Burns Evans Morsy KVY Chaplin Celina Bonne If Evans is a doubt then perhaps Carroll instead. Bench will be interesting to see, Simpson on there would suggest he's here to play a part rather than another loan. Fraser's continued absence surely points to him moving on. The Pig might want a say against his former club, but would we risk him if talks are advanced? Lots of question marks.

Just in case of any doubt...it was two number 10's...Celina and Chaplin both clearly instructed to stay central and they did. All our good play came through them and Bonne (imo) should really have offered more. Didn't think he was great Saturday personally. I'd love to be a striker playing ahead of Celina and Chaplin...needs to offer them a bit more.

Totally agree - what I'd do to be 20 years younger playing in front of those two !!

I did wonder if Simpson might get a shot in front of those 2. And of day bonne is on loan. Simpson is ours. I understand people saying Simpson should go on loan again. Why let's see what he's got. With celina and Chaplin with him it's worth a look. Imo

The only issue is if he plays any part for us, he can't go out on loan anywhere this season can he? As he'll have played for 2 different EFL sides already in 1 season. Personally I like the look of him, but he's beyond raw. Got all the physical attributes and the pace and power, but we can't underestimate how much more polished and street wise someone like Bonne is compared to Simpson. I certainly wouldn't have any issue in him coming back to replace Jackson's role though. One way or another he's not going to be here a few months from now, so I would be happy to give Simpson the experience of travelling with the squad and a getting few minutes here and there instead of Jackson. As long as we have 3 senior forwards ahead of him.

I said this the other day - I'd much rather give Simpson a few mins off the bench instead of Jackson. Not a fan of Jackson and he's not got a future here...Simpson could be very effective as late sub, when needing a goal. I think he'll stay here rather than go on loan anywhere and get a few mins between now and the end of the season. Some say he should have stayed on loan rather than sit on our bench...but he's had a good half season learning and getting experience and is CONFIDENT. Why don't we make use of that?? He may play just a few minutes this season but score a late goal that earns us a point or all 3! Rather than than him score another 9 for Swindon. [Post edited 25 Jan 2022 14:08]

I don't get the big rush to loan out. Yeah he's young but weren't Wickham and Rhodes when they came onto the seen. Bent too.
