Very brave - he's going to have a tough time leading up to next election because the Tories are clearly going to go after this as one part of the culture war

He’s probably going to lose anyway - Bridgend was a shock Tory win by only 1k and it was won comfortably by Labour in the Senedd. Have heard from people itk (if such a thing exists in politics) that the former FM of Wales who used to represent the constituency in the Senedd may be standing against Wallis for Labour next time.

it's a very brave statement. there seems to be an awful lot going on and i hope it's right that whips and others really are being supportive.

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

The world is full of surprises.

Just when I assumed I'd never respect any Tory MP, Jamie comes along. Can only admire their bravery.

Furthermore, if they have had so much support from other Tory MP's over what they have gone through and continue to go through, that shows a great deal more compassion than I'd ever expected from that party.

Hopefully Jamie gets the help, support and space that they need from the police, politicians, the media and the public alike.

He's followed up and said for the time being he is sticking with the he/him/his pronoun. Obviously might change later.

As others have said, good on him for coming out with this, imagine it is tremendously difficult and sounds like they've gone through an awful time with multiple things.

EDIT:
