How does it look that at the time he is raising taxes for millions of people on the UK his wife was trying to avoid paying tax in the UK

Green card isn’t citizenship for starters. However, it’s is a “Permanent Resident”. Says so right on the top of the card. If you’re not in the US more than 6 months of the year you automatically abandon it. So unless he has a issued re-entry permit it doesn’t seem like he’d keep his status as an American resident anyway. Also you still have to pay federal tax if you live abroad. |  |
