Focusing attack on Zahawi who has pledged tax cuts and to cut NHS and Education by 20%. Then Sunak. Quotes his resignation letter. Says BJ must be impressed with Sunak's "Johnsonian brass kneckery" to claim he will rebuild economy when he was responsible for wrecking it. BJ thanks Starmer for his conduct at PMQs as he has been "considerably less lethal than many on that bench".

Bercow the bully you mean. He was a great speaker as far as we knew till he was outed for that But no one else is there fact checking or countering Johnson's incessent lies and disingenuous remarks "I am proud of my achievements while in office and will leave with my head held high" he says

Blackford slightly over-egged the pudding "right of Ghengis Khan", BJ amiable back, next Prime Minister will protect the Union". Blackford back with a zinger "I sincerely hope the next Prime Minister is as popular in Scotland as he is."

He got Johnson to let slip that the Conservatives have no intention of letting their leadership contest go to the blue rinse brigade Which tends to suggest Johnson and his cronies think Liz Truss has got it in the bag

Yes, this. He went for Zahawi and Sunak. Tellingly he didn't go for Truss, which probably means the Labour think-tank see her as the easiest of the front runners to beat. Starmer did ok, he had a couple of jokes that landed, and he made the point about Cabinet Ministers being complicit in what has gone before, and hit Sunak and Zahawi on Non Dom status. Johnson, though, was utterly relaxed, seems very secure in the fact that his time is up now. Made it explicit a couple of times that someone else would be taking over (although did say "Probably my last PMQs" a couple of times as well, which must have raised blood pressure at Conservative HQ...) Not a single Tory MP said anything remotely critical. They are utterly complicit.

Liz Truss was a staunch remainer who is now seen as the hard right's key Brexiteer to egt in place Sunak a Brexiteer who is seen as best hope from the moderates in the party Liz Truss will be beatable, she's had Francois' nomination as head of ERG - big blow for Mourdant
