I fear the sort of people you need to appeal to at this stage are the sort of people that could read something like that an still dismiss it.
Furthermore, as much as we can all try and do our little bit (and I personally will), it's like turning up to the aftermath of Pompeii with a dustpan and brush.
As long as our government and all the other major ones continue to do nothing, our children and their children are screwed. You could argue it's too late. As you say, we can do our bit to make it not so bad but I'm very angry about how the world has dealt with this.
Basically a collective 'it won't affect me much so sod it'. So depressing.
Likewise, the people saying the climate has always changed. It has. But when it goes from 20 degrees to 21 degrees over a million years and then goes from 21 degrees to 22 degrees in a fortnight, you should probably take notice you morons. |  | | |

This needs to be continuously pushed, to an annoying extent, until real change it realised.
People need to be bored hearing about it. It's incredible to me more time is spent talking about which candidate is the most "woke" than something that threatens all of us.

I think the direct action thing will become both larger and more violent despite the best efforts of the Party and the Stasi to suppress it.
Timescales seem to be compressing perhaps more quickly than anyone expected, and a lot of people realise this. Hopefully, the proximity of the 5 year horizon of your typical politician's conscience might actually trigger some real action around the world, which would also tend to 'protect' them from the protests.
Let's just hope that the inevitable convergence of intention between even the most ideologically opposed doesn't come too late. | |
