Henry 15:15 - Aug 29 with 1841 views | Oldsmoker | I've just been emailed a special Bank holiday 'buy it now or lose it' offer from Currys. I can buy a Henry vacuum cleaner for £119.00. Why, oh why would I want to buy a Henry? To keep the one I bought 22 years ago for £59.00 company? Aren't they just the best vacuum cleaner ever.

Definitely a cry for help from Currys. They have a mega store in Bristol and there are more staff than customers.

Henry on 15:24 - Aug 29 with 1780 views | jeera | Do they come as Henrys/Henriettas with the names printed onto the machines or are they stickers? If they're stickers then you could change the way they look and give them a different personality kind of thing. A bit like Mr/Mrs Potato Head.

Henry on 15:27 - Aug 29 with 1760 views | Ryorry | You're probably aware, but not everyone is - massive scale email phishing scams going round over past month or so purporting to be from 'Curry's' - I was getting 1-3 a day every day "Claim your free doorbell/kettle/toaster" etc etc. Think 'Which'? may have helped stopped them recently though.

I do get a lot of emails from Currys. I bought a fridge/freezer from them 'cos my old one died. I've checked my email account and those emails are all genuine. Thanks for the heads up - much appreciated. They think that as I've just bought a fridge/freezer I'd like another one. odd? I'm going to replace my Microwave soon and then all my white goods will be brand new(ish). Inflation will mean that all this stuff will be way more expensive in a years time so best do it now.

Henry on 15:47 - Aug 29 with 1689 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | I've just had a text from "Currys" actually - phone has identified it as a scam. One thing I have never been sure of is how these scammers manage to change the contact ID that shows up? No idea if it is easy or difficult for them to do that. I once had a call from "Barclays" from a standard mobile phone number, so I suspect there is some challenge to it.

Heh - automated spam I'm guessing, daft advertisers gonna do daft advertising. Good point re buying white goods now if you think you'll need within next 12 months. I need a microwave too, old one of 8+ years' hard use has both light gone & turntable wonky. Henry on 17:34 - Aug 29 with 1515 views | belgablue | Definitely. We had one in our house at university and it gobbled up everything and was pretty indestructible. Indeed Henry was such a loved member of the household I stopped in at the local takeaway once en route home from a night out, and one of my housemates was in there and he'd brought Henry along too for a bit of company. Odd looking back but was certainly funny at the time.

Mr Potato Head was cancelled. I see that Mr Potato Head.... by Bloots 25 Feb 2021 20:33....is no longer going to be a "Mr" and will now be gender neutral.
Not sure how Mrs Potato Head feels about this.

One of the performers from "Circus of Horrors" had a very close relationship with his Henry..... didn't just buy hime a takeaway. More of a nosh.

I keep being told they're* rubbish and not to buy one. I'm in the market for a new vac and have decided to go and ask an expert at some point this week. Chap on [what's left of] Bury market knows his onions and hopefully his vacuum cleaners too. *Sharks, not Henrys. Henry's I have learned can rip the fibres from some carpets though, leaving them threadbare. [Post edited 29 Aug 2022 23:15]

Sharks are astoundingly good if you have pets. I've never seen anything hoover up pet hair more.
