But.. imo

Davis and Morsy Should be nowhere near the starting lineup for today.

Depends if they need minutes with the lack of games in November. Ideally they would not be risked though.

Morsy played 90 Tuesday!

Just seems like an unnecessary risk to continually keep wheeling him out. He's a massive player for us and is even more important with the current injury crisis

If we win, this post will never see the light of day again, but if anyone gets injured you can say ‘I told you so’. Good work.

It depends a little on whether the opposition are so poor we could play a couple of youngsters (in which case is it any more of a challenge than a training match for them?).

I get the point you are making but who would we have played in their places, and would that have been a wise thing to do? It is refreshing to take an FA Cup match seriously.

Armin for davis imo. Or KVY left. Agbaje right. ( is this game any harder than a papa John's game when Agbaje played RB?

Morsys position is harder due to limited CMs. But there must be an option in our squad.

As a fanbase we we've not been happy with not taking thr cups seriously. It's good to see imo.

Win the game, then make changes. And avoid the extra game of a replay.

Paul Cook messed it up last year in drawing games at home we should have won, resulting in replays, and ultimately him losing his job.

A replay would be the highest level Town have ever played at.

Like the days of Lambert and Mick and Jewell and Cook where we'd rightly focus on the league to get...well, mid-table in league 1 2021/22

I'm not sure who you would replace Morsy with?

Davis I completely agree with - as I do Burns and Chaplin. None of those three should be in the starting XI.

Good confidence boost for the team if they smash Buxton .. give the team a lift after the Portsmouth debacle.. put us on a good footing for the two
League games..

Of course Kenny has already copped it for not taking cup games seriously.

Imagine the meltdown if we didn't start them and lost

We weren't happy when we were facing tough opposition though, such as Manchester United away, not Buxton at home

Yes, though I could be wrong, - there may have been somewhere higher in a European game. It's hard to think of anyone off-hand.

St. Etiene, maybe? Would be interesting to find out, I love weird little stats like that.

Does scoring a first team goal boost Chaplin's confidence, though?

Does the message that a first team place has to be earnt rather than you can play in the cup regardless say something to players looking to come through?

I can see both sides of this argument, to be honest.
